3rd UPDATE--Sarah Palin: Afraid of the Press?? Allows her fans to distribute pictures of President Obama as Hitler!

( Added:DEC 31, 2009:: MSNBC finally covers this story! Unfortunately, they didn't mention the photoshopped pics of President Obama that were 'allowed' while other signs were destroyed by Sarah's SS. )

I just read Celtic Diva's(nice work & excellent blog!) If you haven't seen it, go have a look. She is an Alaskan, with first hand knowledge of Sarah Palin.

She recounts the boots-on-the ground report from a friend, Kim, who was at Sarah's exclusive book signing yesterday, in Wasilla.

Two things struck me:

1- We know that Harper Collins paid for the event .... that is what they say. So ... who else was there with Sarah? According to Kim,
""Conservative Patriots" handing out their manifesto on "What is a Conservative?" They are the local Teabagging group"

Harper Collins PAID for this?? Do they know?

2- MORE IMPORTANTLY ------ at this 'private event' where Sarah had TIGHT CONTROL over the people allowed there and what they did there .... Celtic Diva says:

The most disturbing aspect of this event for Kim was how much worse the mood and energy was in comparison to the Elmendorf book-signing. While they definitely took flack for her daughter's Obama shirt at Elmendorf, this guy (pictured above) was handing out magazines with President Obama pictured as Hitler. Kim said she'd never heard so many "Nazi" references involving President Obama in her life and as a veteran she was outraged. It seemed to her that between the "Conservative Patriots" and this whack job, the TRUE Palin followers had full control of this event.
Thanks to Bill Hess and Palingates.com for this picture.

So... NO signs against Palin! They are ripped out of the hands of a lady with a walker, journalists are banned BUT Sarah ALLOWED people to be "handing out magazines with President Obama pictured as Hitler" ????

The police confiscated SIGNS critical of Palin, but ALLOWED pictures of President Obama as Hitler to be handed out???

NO WONDER SARAH BANS THE PRESS at her book-signings!

DOES HARPER COLLINS KNOW ABOUT THIS??? THEY PAID FOR IT.

I guess we now have a CLUE about why Sarah doesn't allow the press at her events! Middle America, (the part that isn't STUPID) wouldn't take kindly to Sarah's tolerance for defaming the President by her fans.

Go have a complete read of both Celtic Diva's blogs, and Gryphen'sGryphen's (one of the bloggers on the banned list).

Sarah, be afraid, be very afraid .... you really did go too far this time!

**********************************

*******************************************

DOES ANYONE ELSE THINK SARAH IS TALKING ABOUT DEATH PANELS AGAIN TO DIVERT FROM THE EVENTS IN WASILLA YESTERDAY ???????????

The manager of the sports complex, when asked why some people were 'banned' said:

>....the signing was a private event paid for by Palin's publisher, Harper Collins, and Zaki and the others were not invited.

Funny, HC did pay for the event, but denied having anything to do with denying access to this 'public event'.

>"At the end of the day, if something had gone wrong, it would have been my responsibility," Hastings said. "If I take three minutes on Google I can see that, given the nature of the people who were here, it wasn't in his (Zaki's) best interest to be here. He and others could have found themselves in a negative situation."

Really?? Sarah's fans are just as thin-skinned and vindictive as she is ????

Well, Sarah's exercise in 'How to Appear Adored by Suppressing Dissent' has backfired. The story has gone viral, now.

Because this story does indeed have LEGS ! Way to go Gryph, you're in the big time now, don't forget the little people! ? Check out the immoral minority for a great story/great post! Great report! (http://theimmoralminority.blogspot.com/)

Other reports: the Anchorage paper had closed comments for a while, but now has resorted to simply DELETING those that might offend Sarah or her fans. (Note: funny, all of a sudden, 4 of my posts have 'appeared' .. hours after having been posted!)

Over at The Frontiersman (Wasilla paper) they did have a comment thread, but they 'moderate' before publishing, so rather than DELETE or MODERATE they are just ignoring all posts. Nothing since yesterday afternoon has shown up on their Comments board. Are we really going to believe only 19 people commented??

Shannyn Moore has an awesome story from a local woman who attended the 'love in' yesterday.

Get this: she was wearing a LIAR T-shirt and had signs. She uses a WALKER! The Wasilla SS (Sarah's private police, it seems) took her signs and destroyed them! Read the full story here

***************************************************

Sarah banned some members of the press in Wasilla today: So ... we know that Shannyn Moore was BANNED from Sarah's book signing ... and others, escorted OUT by her private "Wasilla SS"! Yep! the local police for no other reason than Sarah didn't want certain people there, did her bidding. Sarah's good ol' boys!

When Sarah thanks the troops for fighting for freedom ... does she even know how hypocrital she is? Do her fans?? DO THE TROOPS KNOW that she hasn't even read the Constitution they supposedly fight to protect?

DO her 'fans' support Sarah more than they believe in the Constitution??

So easily bought off! The chance to see the Stupidest Woman in the USA, a hometown girl famous for winning the Biggest Lie of the Year Award, trumps the 'freedom' they claim to love more than anything!

Have they ever READ the Constitution?? The part about a FREE Press being essential to an informed public? Seems not; if they did, they didn't understand it, I guess.

There is a reason that FREE PRESS is in the FIRST Amendment. If people aren't 'informed' they cannot make a reasoned choice... which I guess, is why, SARAH avoids the PRESS .. she doesn't want the 'real ' Sarah revealed.... the FOX version is better, almost as good as her 'biography' .... To know Sarah (the real Sarah) is to find out that she is .... just .... a fool.

Sarah NEEDS her supporters to remain ignorant; they willingly oblige her! Why do people choose to remain ignorant? I don't get it!

We all learned SO MUCH about Sarah, from her biography, didn't we?? I sure did! Of course, I can read, this isn't the 'first book' in my house!

What is Sarah so afraid of?

Why do the people of Wasilla support someone who doesn't BELIEVE in the Constitution?

Can someone REALLY support the troops, if they disrespect the very freedoms they fight for ??

Has nobody in Wasilla any pride in their country?? Do they 'claim' to love and cherish the Constitution?

Wasilla must be even more of a backwoods enclave of uneducated people than I thought! Banning a press member??

Is nobody there smart enough to ask themselves:WHAT IS SARAH SO AFRAID OF??

Don't these people have any self-respect? Pride? Patriotism? Brains

Liberty University has a science museum in which dinosaur bones are labelled as being 6000-years-old.

What can one do when dealing with such willful self-deception? Show them a shinier object?

I find a little comfort in knowing their children will work for my children one day.

  2. When Colin Powell's autobiography, "My American Journey," came out, his book tour began amid speculation that it, too, was a prelude for a Presidential run. "His book tour has the air of a political campaign," the Times reported.

A security detail followed him around, and Powell gave a brief news conference at each and every one of his twenty-plus stops. He actually fielded questions from the press, establishing himself as a serious contender for POTUS.

Sarah had one impromptu press conference on her book tour, answering one question about Canadian health care on the fly. The overall impression, to be kind, was not very statesmanlike.

Banning certain members of the press was the grand finale of Sarah's book tour, establishing herself as both a half-@ss pretender for POTUS and as an imbecile.

  3. Oh, Loblolly, you forgot one other detail.

Sarah claims she doesn't need titles, even shed hers like a hot potato because it got in the way of her "serving" the people. But she just can't seem to let go of her former title, behaving as if she wants it back. It's almost as if she believes if people keep referring to her as "Governor," she'll be Governor again with all the perks and pomp.

Colin Powell never insisted (and still doesn't) that people refer to him as Secretary of State Colin Powell, or National Security Advisor Colin Powell, or Commander-in-Chief, U.S. Army Forces Command Colin Powell, or Chairman of the Joint Chiefs of Staff Colin Powell.

  4. You ask: "WHAT IS SARAH SO AFRAID OF??"
The same thing this Palinbot is afraid of:

    "Richard Blanchard
I am so mad at the liberal news reporters out here in California. I just heard a spot by the communist out here that we should all be more understanding to the Muslims. I don't think so at all after fort hood and now there are 5 of them that the FBI wants to question. I suppose we should be good to the little basterds as they blow up our country the way they did during 911 NEVER FORGET!!!

Oh ya let me tell you what my best friend said who used to be a truck driver and worked for Fema after the katrina Hurricane. You never heard about on the liberal news cast at all. He was telling me he saw black looting the stores after words and no one stopping them at all. Poor babies I wonder what they did with all there loot that tax payers had to pay for!!!

  5. Sarah evades the press because they ask such hard to answer "gotcha" questions like, "What do you read?" And according to Brian T. Wall, Sarah is not afraid of the press, the press fears Sarah:

    "Brian T. Wall
Sarah, u r right again, and this is why they go after u so bad, from the supposed "fair" lefty "news" people to the late night pieces of human trash, going after ur children, when all lefties kiddies are left alone. They FEAR YOU, you r the most feared politician on our side. for Gods sake, have good security. the news people, they are the scum of the earth.
You Sarah, are the salt of the earth, and so god bless you and your family,

I wonder if Brian considers Conan one of "the late night pieces of human trash."

  6. It amazes me that they think those being TURNED AWAY are the fearful ones!

There is a HUGE logic gap here, no?

  7. Palin! I can only hope we don't scare her away. If the dems can make her the republican nominee it will be the first time in recent history that an entire political party was banned from participating. The republicans have seen their waterloo, it is spelled Palin.

  8. Another boots on the ground report on the Wasilla book signing is now on this wonderful Wasilla site - http://wasillaalaskaby300.squarspace.com

Bill Hess lives in Wasilla and is a photographer who has a blog that I check daily. It is a mix of articles w/ most having nothing to do with $P.

Today, he posted his personal experience w/ includes photos of his attendance at this book signing. He always includes interesting summaries and this time is no exception.

Plus, he has close-up photos of those requesting he sign petitons and the Lyndon LaRouche guy who is the one w/ the infamous photo of Pres. Obama as H. He lets us know how those in line reacted to that person.

He did have a book signed and explains all of the free coupons that came with that purchase. Plus, $P asks him about his cap which shows her total ignorance of the native Alaskan population.

    A worthy read IMO.

  9. Harper Collins did pay for the event. Interestingly, their spokeswoman says that the arena was rented; however, it was just the Turf Room that was rented.

  13. The people who are most frightened have tiny comfort zones. It is very sad that they do not have the intelligence or the training to allow them to appreciate other viewpoints. They seem to equate themselves with their ideas, so contrary ideas are actually threats to themselves.

    Sarah, the pitbull, in action:

Sarah's response to the MSM = wave the white flag of surrender and hide behind FB and twitter.

Sarah's response to bloggers = wave the white flag of surrender and resign from the governor's office.

Sarah's response to paparazzi = wave the white flag of surrender and flee back to Alaska.

Sarah's response to a senior citizen using a walker = have her protest signs taken and destroyed.

  18. Archivist, you ask if anyone thinks Sarah is talking about death panels again to divert attention away from the banned press incident in Wasilla.

Yes, I believe Sarah is throwing gorilla dust. Sarah's death panel deception gained a lot of national traction the first time she threw it about. Not so much now.

Now, and it's about time, Sarah is being held accountable for her behavior. As a result, the last few weeks have been a thorough beat down. All of it self-inflicted!

It wouldn't surprise me if the bitch squealing and finger pointing Sarah "rises" in her soon. "Boo, hoo, they're making fun of me, sniff, sniff, whaaaaaaaa, they're being mean to me, whaaaaaaaa!"

    Grizzly, my arse.

    Btw, Merry Christmas to all!

    ReplyDelete
  19. You are too kind, Archivist. Sarah doesn't tolerate her fans defaming the President - she fuels it.

Sarah attracts like-minded people. Hence, the death threats against our President on her FB page. Sarah coralled and inflamed these types with her campaign rhetoric. She continues to feed and whip them into a furor on her FB page. The term "Death Panel" is a good example.

There is no doubt in my mind that Dawn, the firecracker who had the courage to call Sarah a liar on her home turf, would be burned at the stake if Sarah could have her way.

Celtic Diva has a good photo of Dawn on the link you provide. Note how Dawn's complexion is so much smoother and healthier looking than Sarah's. Dawn is out in the open, hiding nothing, and shining brighter than Sarah. What a pistol!

Dragon Lady, as a fine example of good citizenship, they don't get any better than Andree McLeod.

    HAPPY HOLIDAYS!!!!!!!!!

  20. My grandfather and father think this is just about the funniest video they have ever seen. It's not Sarah, but it's like Sarah. The whole runway scene reminds me of Sarah's book tour. It starts out uneventful, then there was the stumble and fall in IN, then a slow regaining of confidence (complete with swagger), only to end with the disaster in Wasilla.

  21. This morning, I was awoken by my alarm clock which is powered by the public power monopoly regulated by the US Department of Energy. I took a shower in the clean, safe water provided by the municipal water utility. After that, I turned on the TV to one of the channels regulated by the Federal Communications Commission, to see what the National Weather Service of the National Oceanographic and Atmospheric Administration had determined the weather was likely to be, using satellites designed, built, and launched by the National Aeronautics and Space Administration. I watched this while eating my breakfast, consisting of food inspected by the US Department of Agriculture and taking medicine determined to be safe by the Food and Drug Administration.

At the appropriate time as regulated by the US Congress and kept accurately by the National Institute of Standards and Technology and the US Naval Observatory, I got into my National Highway Traffic Safety Administration approved automobile and set out to work, driving on roads built and maintained by the local, state, and federal Departments of Transportation, stopping on my way to purchase additional fuel of a composition and quality level determined and inspected by the Environmental Protection Agency, using legal tender issued by the Bureau of Engraving and Printing and the US Mint and regulated by the Federal Reserve System. I also stopped to deposit my mail to be delivered via the US Postal System, before I dropped my kids off at the public school, operated by my local government under guidance from the US Department of Education.

After work, I drove my NHTSA-approved car back home on the DOT roads, to a house which had not burned down in my absence thanks to state and local building codes and the fire marshal's inspection, and which had not been plundered of its valuables thanks to the local police department.

I then logged onto the Internet, which was developed by the Defense Advanced Research Projects Agency of the US Department of Defense, and posted about how SOCIALISM in medicine is BAD because the government CAN'T DO ANYTHING RIGHT.

Since today is Christmas, I offer the following Christmas e-mail bounced around among Palinbots:

    "From: XXXXXX@aol.com
    To: XXXXXXX@gmail.com
    Sent: Thursday, October 28, 2009 9:11 AM
Subject: Goodbye to Christmas At The White House

Thought you might be interested in this information from the White House. This isn't a rumor; this is a fact.

We have a friend at church who is a very talented artist. For several years she, among many others, has painted ornaments to be hung on the various White House Christmas trees. The WH sends out an invitation to send an ornament and informs the artists of the theme for the year.

She got her letter from the WH recently. It said that they would not be called Christmas trees this year. They will be called Holiday trees. And, to please not send any ornaments painted with a religious theme.

She was very upset at this development and sent back a reply telling them that she painted the ornaments for Christmas trees and would not be sending any for display that left Christ out of Christmas.

Just thought you should know what the new residents in the WH plan for the future of America. If you missed his statement that 'we do not consider ourselves a Christian Nation' this should confirm that he plans to take us away from our religious foundation as quickly as possible."

It's a lie, of course. Here is White House Spokesperson, Kate Bedingfield's, response:

"'There is no truth to this, and the letter referenced in the e-mail does not exist,' [Kate Bedingfield] said. 'No letter has gone out yet from the White House pertaining to Christmas tree ornaments.' She added, 'The trees in the White House will be called Christmas trees, and the tree on the Ellipse will be called the National Christmas Tree. There will be no name changes.'"

The President Obama quote "we do not consider ourselves a Christian nation" is taken entirely out of context. Here is the complete text (and YouTube link of our POTUS saying it):

"We can create a modern international community that is respectful, that is secure, that is prosperous. That there are not tensions, inevitable tensions between cultures, which I think is extraordinarily important. That's something very important to me. I've said before that One of the great strengths of the United States is although as I mentioned we have a very large Christian population, we do not consider ourselves a Christian nation or a Jewish nation or a Muslim nation. We consider ourselves a nation of citizens who are bound by ideals and a set of values."

    Merry Christmas, everyone!

  23. Julie .. yes that email has been going around for a while. Palinbots WANT to believe it, so they don't check it out. If they are shown proof that it's not true, then they say the 'source' is biased.. but they are too dumb to see that the 'source' of this document is a 'friend of a friend who works ... blah blah blah' ... Palin's site is full of this ridiculous stories, which are nothing more than evidence of the depth of their ignorance and delusions.

Thanks for taking the time to post this, hope you had a great Christmas!

  24. To preserve my sanity, I finally decided that it was best to just delete all those crazy emails as soon as I received one. I used to carefully reply to each one with links from Snopes and other debunking sites thinking that the person was simply unaware of the truth. My efforts were met with anger, suspicion, and condescension as 'bots don't want the truth to interfere with their fearmongering.

    ReplyDelete
  25. I had the same experience, Ratty Old Sofa.

People seem to naturally believe things the way they want, honestly, without any research or thought. So when subjective and biased bullshit that matches their world view comes along, it doesn't matter to them that it might not pass a smell test. They want so badly to believe it, it becomes fact.
They send some content-less jab about a retarded talking point and are literally immune to any facts or evidence to the contrary.

Sometimes I think it's better to feed their fear mongering. If the general public thinks they are crazy, then that's great. Let them marginalize themselves even more. Feeding them with a little extra crazy is just a little step towards that eventual goal.

Ashley, my husband thinks that video is hysterically funny. Maybe it's a guy thing, though. I thought it was funny but didn't startle the kids like he did with his belly laughs. You've probably seen the clip where Bill asks Sarah if she's smart enough to be POTUS. It's always fun to watch Sarah pucker up and squirm so here it is again, starting at the 1:35 mark:

    http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=tgWqz95JDcU&NR=1&feature=fvwp

(She seems determined to use the word "spineless" in her response and goes off on some wild tangent. Is she saying it's okay to attend an elite Ivy League school if you're an invertebrate?)

    ReplyDelete
  26. As a Russian, I want Sarah Palin to become POTUS because we're all tired of her staring at us across the Bering Strait and also because we hate America.

    ReplyDelete
  27. Matt Taibbi wrote a great article in Rolling Stone about American voters that I believe sums up the Palinbots. Here's an excerpt:

"The great insight of the Palin VP choice is that huge chunks of American voters no longer even demand that their candidates actually have policy positions; they simply consume them as media entertainment, rooting for or against them according to the reflexive prejudices of their demographic, as they would for reality-show contestants or sitcom characters. Hicks root for hicks, moms for moms, born-agains for born-agains. Sure, there was politics in the Palin speech, but it was all either silly lies or merely incidental fluffery buttressing the theatrical performance. A classic example of what was at work here came when Palin proudly introduced her Down-syndrome baby, Trig, then stared into the camera and somberly promised parents of special-needs kids that they would "have a friend and advocate in the White House." This was about a half-hour before she raised her hands in triumph with McCain, a man who voted against increasing funding for special-needs education."

    ReplyDelete
  28. Sarah Palin explains politics:

"You see, elections are like Calvinball. You wake up in the morning and hit the field with your mask on. Now, you know the score is 4 to J to start due to last week's rainstorm, but that doesn't stop you. You run back and forth down the field, attempting to evade the tiger that's chasing you, until the whistle sounds that announces you are both working together. You do so, until the next one, which means that you run as far as possible toward the center of the field. The score ticks down to negative 7, and you know you have this one in the bag.

Then you get picked as VP and everyone is wondering why you are carrying a stuffed tiger to the debates."

    ReplyDelete
  29. Someone should tell Sarah that banning the press (censorship, anyone?) is not a conservative value nor is it very American.

And how about Dawn! That woman will not be bullied. She was unstoppable. They managed to catch her off-guard and destroy her signs, but she demanded her sticks back! Then she entered the building so everyone present would be able to appreciate the message on her sweatshirt. What could they do now? Rip off her sweatshirt?

Sarah had everything under control with her banned list. This time she was prepared, had thought things out beforehand, was on top of things. No one stood a chance agaisnt Sarah, especially on Sarah's turf. And then came Dawn, who waltzed right in and showed everyone in the building that Sarah has no authority over her, or anyone else in America, or anyone else in Alaska, or anyone else in Wasilla.

Dawn, on Christmas day, gave Sarah a much needed reality check.

Dawn is what America is all about.

    ReplyDelete
  30. Yep, Dawn and the "banned four" are citizens of the United States in full and equal standing.

Sarah is no better than any of them.

    ReplyDelete
  31. Sometimes it's necessary to point out the obvious.

Banning people from public events is, well, it's bad.

It is logically equivalent to Sarah saying "I'm fine with some buildings letting blacks/gays/whatever onto their public property, but I just don't agree with them letting them into the building I'm in."

    ReplyDelete
  32. What I find odd is Sarah trying to outcast a whole segment of society for reasons that don't even make sense from a conservative point of view. Or that it is legal for her to think that she can.

NAMBLA and the KKK have a right to organize(so long as they do so peaceably), and their members have the right to hold those beliefs, but their members and the organizations do not have the right to any social approval. Neither does Sarah.

Neo-Nazis have the right to march in Skokie, but they have no right whatsoever to a cheering or even receptive crowd. Neither does Sarah.

    ReplyDelete
  33. Sarah was merely being considerate to others by violating Dawn's and the banned four's civil rights. She has a history of being thoughtful:

"In an attempt to 'go incognito,' I Sharpied the logo out on my sun visor so photographers would be less likely to recognize me and bother my kids or other vacationers."

I know when I see someone with a McCain 2008 visor or bumper sticker, I always check to see if it's Sarah Palin.

    ReplyDelete
  34. Anon@12:14, Sarah is petty trashy and the McCain campaign visor and Sharpie gaffe proves it. We are either asked to assume that at face value she didn't own a single other visor in her entire wardrobe and had to deface one that represented the single biggest portion of her political career (and one that she's been content to back stab at every opportunity since then,) or that she was aware of what she was doing and is using it to send a message to her devout fans that she won't take any shit from that "Democrat" McCain and his staff.

Since politics isn't about policies or content but rather about style and PR, Palin would sink like a stone during a primary election, just under the weight of her own gaffes. Her brand of maverick politics comes down to leaping without looking, and it's pretty obvious that it's how she operates.

Gwac, Sarah's been given absolutely loads of chances to prove her intelligence yet every time she comes off as stupid as hell.

    ReplyDelete
  35. Sarah's idea of free speech is that she is free to say/write what she likes but if anyone says anything back, that is an outrage.

How dare anyone but Sarah exercise their democratic right to have the freedom to express their opinion.

It is forbidden for anyone to even speak to her. Unless, of course, Sarah speaks to them first. Then it is permitted.

    ReplyDelete
  36. "Well, all of us look dull in comparison to Sarah Palin, so that's not really a fault of Sean Parnell's...Some people are weary of the drama."
    — Alaska Senate Majority Leader Johnny Ellis. (KTUU, July 15, 2009)

    he he he he he

    ReplyDelete
  37. This is the way I look at it:

Whenever Sarah belittles, demeans, and, now, bans the "bloggers," she is treating them as a legitimate opponents.

    ReplyDelete
  38. Sarah is not going to convince anyone banning these people was justifiable with an argument because there isn't any argument. There is no actual content in anything she says, it's just blanket assertions that are absurdly general and don't have anything even remotely similar to "backing" behind them.

In regards to UHC, Welfare, etc, "Sarah believes" a lot of things, but doesn't offer up any proof, other than "government bad, private sector good."

The Republican party has fully enslaved itself to the desires and biblical morality of evangelical Christians like Sarah, to the detriment of both the party and the country. It is this biblical tether and the desires of the constituent base without which it can no longer win on a national stage that are tearing the Republican party apart. The perfect example is the Republican party opposition of abortion. There is zero logical reason for a fiscal conservative to oppose abortions and yet, Republicans, the party of "limited government," want to take away the right of a mother to terminate a potential tax money guzzling fetus because it conflicts with a biblical morality.

    ReplyDelete
  39. Thank goodness we have good old-fashioned Americans like Dawn, who are not afraid to smote Sarah with a meter stick when Sarah gets too big for her britches.

    ReplyDelete
  40. "What is Sarah afraid of?"

    What a silly question, Archivist.

Sarah is scared and can't sleep at night because Dawn is waiting for her outside the front door, Zaki and Gryphen have the back door covered, Andree is on the roof taking notes, and Shannyn Moore is hiding under the bed.

It is "practical" for society to mock those who make unintelligent decisions as a way of discouraging said decisions.

  41. Sarah is in a bind on this one.

Doing the traditional Turkey pardoning, followed by an incomprehensible press meeting held in front of an active turkey slaughtering operation. When asked if she was aware it was going on behind her, Sarah said she wasn't and blamed one of her staff members, even though you can see her look over her shoulder during the question period.

Sarah doesn't have any staff members now.

I will not be surprised if throws Todd under the bus.

  42. "We like to think that people will be well informed before making important decisions, such as who to vote for, but the truth is that's not always the case. Being uninformed is one thing, but having a population that's actively misinformed presents problems when it comes to participating in the national debate, or the democratic process. If the findings of some political scientists are right, attempting to correct misinformation might do nothing more than reinforce the false belief."

Those findings are disheartening if carved in granite. I'm glad they're not. It took a lot of scandals to come to light before PreJean finally derailed herself. But it happened. The same thing will happen to Sarah. There are enough Sarah eff ups, like this press ban here, on the record that discredit her. She is beyond the point of no return. "Going Rogue" is an inconceivable blunder that only someone as strange as Sarah could make. It's just a matter of time before the general public says, "Hey, wait a minute. Something is fishy here."

  43. A suggestion: Harper-Collins, Palin's publisher, must certainly know about the Hitler incident, as well as others, so the action I propose is to not buy anything published by H-C, and to publicize that fact, and ask others to do the same. Paper publishers are facing hard times, and rely on "blockbusters" like this poorly researched and vetted book to fill their coffers, so the "bankbuster" effect of boycotting their publications will get their attention.

  44. Theabroma: I wrote to HC last week, when this incident took place.

There is something particularly disturbing in a 'book signing' that bans writers!

I thought HC should know that their $$$ was used to sponsor an event where the rights of citizens were trampled on.

A few people on palingates.com posted that they had written to HC as well.

I urge others to do so, and ALSO to write to the MSN about this.

All reporters TODAY, now having evidence of how Sarah will behave 'unless the courts tell her she can't' ... should be concerned about how she would behave as a 'real' politician.

We know, because she did it!
